Yarelis Yordanova
Tap Instructor
Yarelis's dance journey began when she was 3 years old in the Sacramento area. She trained at multiple studios and joined Sound Out Tap Company by age 10. Most of her dance experience is in tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. From ages 13-17 she trained at Leighton Dance Project in Folsom, CA, where she was a part of their tap company, tap project, and jazz crew. She attended multiple dance conventions and competitions each season and took classes with professional choreographers from around the country.

She performed in CORE Contemporary Dance's "The Doorway" at ages 15 and 16, which introduced her to performing with a professional dance company. She began teaching dance at the age of 16 and continuing throughout her college years teaching ages 3-18.

After a short hiatus from dance in 2020, she began to train again in 2022. Her favorite part about teaching is gaining a connection to her students and allowing them a safe space to express themselves with dance and recognizing their growth year after year.
